My husband's family makes these and Jason is addicted. I found a similar recipe online that I tried. Tasted the same.
****FIRE CRACKERS****
1-1/4 cups canola oil
2 1/2 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper (Pizza Pepper)
1 Tsp Garlic powder
1/2 Tsp. Onion powder
1 pkg. Dry Ranch Salad Dressing Mix
1-1/4 cups canola oil
2 1/2 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper (Pizza Pepper)
1 Tsp Garlic powder
1/2 Tsp. Onion powder
1 pkg. Dry Ranch Salad Dressing Mix
4 sleeves Premium Saltines (We used wheat saltines)
Mix first five ingredients in a small bowl to become a dressing.
Half the saltines in two freezer bags. Pour this mixture over the crackers equally. Let the dressing drain down and set for 15 minutes. Shake the bags to redistribute the dressing evenly every 15 minute for a total of an hour or when you see the crackers are evenly coated.
Enjoy!
