38 weeks

I'm still here with no baby.  I'm hoping I can go past my due date.  I really want to get EVERYTHING on my to do list done so I have no worries when he arrives.  We're getting close.  I read today that before a baby comes the mommy starts nesting.  Well, I also read that daddy starts nesting too and boy has he.  He is kicking butt.  He cleaned every inch of that baby's room to paint the baseboards, doors, and window sill.  When it dries I will put up the new and improved beautiful baby nursery. 

I've taught at my high school for about four years now and I love it!  I love ALL the faculty and staff.  I feel like it's home when I go to work.  Everyone is so nice and helpful.  Concerned too.  I couldn't ask for anything more.  Well, they threw me the most kick butt shower.  I was blown away at the cuteness and generosity of my coworkers.  Wow!

Counting down 22 days! Wow!

I can't believe he will be here that quick.  I feel good though.  Ethan's nursery is adorable thanks to daddy.  And all the amazing people that have blessed us with gifts.  We have the playyard set up next to our bed for the first few weeks.  Make life easy for feeding and changing.  So many things to do still but slowly it is all coming together.

We had a shower thrown by Jason's faculty and staff.  I thought it was so sweet because he is a male.  We were spoiled.  His drama and choir teacher threw it and really did a great job!

How far along? 35 weeks 6 days


Maternity clothes? They are getting tight and many barely cover my belly.  :(

Stretch marks? No, but I keep checking.

Sleep? In between potty breaks.  Ha ha!

Food cravings: None. But I do love me some ice water in a glass. 


Gender: Agressive boy.  I think he is trying to escape through my belly button. 


Belly button in or out?Oh it made the very obvious descent to the outer spaces. 

Movement? Phew.  It is fun but painful.  I love staring at my belly and watching.  Better than TV!

What I miss? Hmm.  Walking without being made fun of!  Jerks. 

What I'm looking forward to: Seeing my old college roommate tomorrow.  I hope. 

Milestones: Two showers thrown by the most amazing women. 

 

35 Weeks and counting

I went to my doctor's appointment today and it was very informative.  I learned that the distance between my pelvic bone and top of my uterus is 35 cm and that correlates with the weeks I'm pregnant.  Overall, the doctor seemed pleased with everything.  I meet with her every week now until I'm due. Phew.  I'm exhausted thinking about it. 

I learned that my cervix hurts because Ethan is head down pushing.  Eek.  I also learned that my due date changed.  I am now due February 19.  Sigh.  No cute Valentine's day due date for me.

35 days to go...

Ethan has been sooo active lately.  He's tricky though.  The second we get the camera out to record, he stops.  Too funny. I'm getting bigger and bigger.

Wow.  I have slacked on updating.  So much has happened since December.  First, Jason is a rock star and he put together all the furniture. 

 Our nursery is coming together beautifully.  If Ethan were born today he would have a place to sleep.

A place to get changed.

And a bunch of pajamas to wear.

Over Christmas, Jason's family blessed us with a ton of adorable clothes and toys for Ethan.  He was a very spoiled unborn baby.
